Education should help everyone grow, understand, and prepare for the future. Currently, learners don't receive the individual support or resources they need. When gaps are not addressed early or properly, confidence can fade, development can stall, and learning can start to feel more like a requirement than a path forward.
Wayside Education was created to change that.
Our goal is to provide the structure, guidance, and support needed to create real understanding.

Michael Hoelzer has many years of experience across various different industries, business lines, and technologies.
Michael created Wayside Education to fill the gaps the current educational system fails to acknowledge and rectify.
Academic Foundation
Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning.
Michael is an adjunct professor of Data Science at Maryville University, teaching graduate-level courses for both undergrad and grad students.
Teaching
Michael works on NASA's Data Science initiatives. At NASA, he leads multiple teams and projects, working with AI and Machine Learning.
